For years we have been ridiculed by the “unpaid advisor”, who while calling himself a teacher has yet to teach us something.

In the Daily Herald of 2/12 he has taken us to task for erecting statues to some of the members of our community deemed worthy of such honor.

As he says, most countries honor statesmen, war heroes, artists and scientists and while some of our people have fought in wars we were usually too busy putting food on the table to have any artists and scientists.

Now we have chosen to honor a few of our people, and I will stick to Tata, since he is the one I knew best.

Tell, me unpaid advisor, why should I honor Einstein with a statue as great as he may have been, and not Tata? Because he was only a simple bus driver in an out of the way West Indian island where the people make you feel big because you are more educated than they are?

Tata was one of the kindest people I know, always ready to help somebody.

Remember, Mother Teresa received the Nobel prize for doing exactly that.
