Okay, I've been sitting on this story for the past two weeks, but I guess, I'm going to analyze the new political climate for a bit.
Jeffrey Richardson, was supposed to have handed in his resignation to DP leader, Sarah Wescot Williams several Sundays ago.
So, I waited for the press release, or some kind of statement from Jeffrey, but I was told that the DP did not want the news to become public, so I decided to sit, and wait.
Then,
I carefully read the article on the front page of the "Today", You know,The one where Ferrier put his resignation at the "disposal" of the DP.
My unique translation, was that Michael Ferrier finally said, "Either HE goes, or I go."
He of course would be Julian Rollocks, but we all know how great their relationship is, so that theory could not possibly be true!
Then Mr Rollocks made two brief appearances in the Today paper.
In my assessment, the first piece, was simply an article placed in the paper, by Mr. Rollocks, to say "Hey!"
"I'm still here"
"I'm still relevant"!
The second article featuring Mr. Rollocks, was far more interesting, and thus had to be read, and re-read.
The article on page 7 of the "Today" paper, first starts out with nothing but a long list of St Maarten Democratic Party misdeeds.I even learned for the first time of certain questionable moves by Maria, "The Sky is The Limit Foundation", etc. etc.
I was given a concise recap of ALL of the misdeeds of Laveist and Maria and Theo, etc. etc. etc.
We'll follow up on "The Sky is The Limit Foundation", at a later date.The article, gives the impression that Mr Rollocks is in St Maarten, handling his business, but he's not. He's been everywhere, but in St Maarten, for the past several weeks.
The Article seemed to appear for two reasons.
To give the appearance that Mr. Rollocks is very much in St Maarten, and in control(you know like how Osama Bin Laden sends out those videos, from random areas around the world, to give the impression that he's still alive, and a threat).
 He also wanted to serve Michael Ferrier with a backhanded compliment, or basically a diss.
The most vital and telling piece to this whole article, is the final paragraphs.
The "old branches" perspective.
When Mr Rollocks returns to the island, is he going to let us know who these old branches are?
He then goes on to lay the blame at everyone else's feet, but his own, because St Maarteners are too stupid to realize who the main DP antagonist is/was.
BUT...BY FAR THE MOST TELLING STATEMENT WOULD BE THE LAST PARAGRAPH:..."We do not wish the Democratic Party any harm; because we think that a well-functioning democracy..."
If you read the article carefully, Mr Rollocks, who is supposed to be an integral part of the DP, their chief adviser, is not referring to the party as US,
Who are "WE" Mr Rollocks?
That statement clearly shows that there is no "US" in the DP any longer, if there ever was.
And if you are calling yourself "WE", the the Democratic Party, must now be considered THEM.
So that could be considered confirmation, that the DP is now a party of two separate factions.
Still I needed more evidence. So I did some online research, and...voila!Jeffrey Richardson IS a part of the new revolutionary party on FACEBOOK, which was set up by Alston Alvarino Lourens.
It's fascinating what you can learn, when you spend 18 hour days online.

So my question would be:
Is this Jeffrey's new party, or is that just another coincidence?
Is the DP separated into "Team Rollocks", and "Team Ferrier"?
Is Stuey going to jump ship soon? (Honestly, he told me that he's sticking with DP, but I simply don't believe him)
Is Theo Heyliger going to be a part of this "revolution", or is he really teaming up with Gracita to form ANOTHER party?
Yeah the Theo/Gracita rumor has been afloat for awhile now.
What can I say, they do make a cute couple.
And they cover most demographics. Gracita appealing to the Black and female demographic,
Theo covering the White/Asian and male demographic. I say White and Asian, because Theo can pass for both.
Don't ask me how that happened.
I do know that it would be interesting seeing some strong, new contenders
for the next elections.
When Mr Rollocks is considering trimming old branches, he must have considered the fact that Sarah Wescot Williams is the oldest branch on the tree.
That's not an ageist diss, it's a fact. And if you're considering all political experience,
Then Mr Rollocks, himself would have to be trimmed, considering the fact that
he's been in those same gutters, since Theo Heyliger was in Pampers.
I've been trying to stay out of politics, and work on my archives,
but sometimes I feel compelled......

There has always been a certain taint, surrounding the Democratic Party of St Maarten,
concerning allegations of racism, or old fashioned inter-race prejudice.
I was told by several members of the Democratic Party, including one of their candidates, that the Democratic Party has a certain prejudice towards their members who have a slightly higher melanin content.
This sounded kinda silly to me, after all Sarah Wescott-Williams the leader of the DP, could be considered Black.
But this Democratic candidate, insisted that the Democratic Party favors lighter, whiter, and brighter candidates, because they feel that they would be more appealing to a wider cross section of the population.
I took what the candidate had to say, with a grain of salt, but then several weeks later, another member of the DP, this time an adviser, said exactly the same thing.
Both of these individuals, would be considered "darker" members of the DP.
So I asked the obvious question...If the DP is racist, why do you have a position and stature with them?
The adviser responded, that because St Maarten has a majority of darker hued Blacks, they needed a few "token" darkies in certain positions, to dispel the rumors, that the DP was racist.
Of course, I'm not going to let this rest, so I continued to ask various people questions about what I had been told by these sources.
They also felt that people who were darker, and not related to Sarah, had a lot tougher time getting anywhere, and had to work twice as hard as any relative of the leader, who it was assumed got their job through nepotism, whether they were qualified or not.
Being related to Sarah, but being one of her darker "cousins", these statements did linger in my mind.
The consensus was that DP, like Tiger Woods had a propensity for the people who were lighter, due to the old time St Maarten caste system.
And you do know that St Maarten had/has a racial caste system.
Don't you?
I got a denial from the proxy-horses mouth herself, who would be Sarah's sister Olga Williams.
Because Sarah never really says a lot, except when she is reciting and regurgitating some criticism against the NA, or defending some of the Democratic Party's sleazy tactics.
The conversation with Ms. Olga Williams, did not start out as a question about race, but with her questioning my manners, which was a fair thing to do.
She felt that I was impolite and ill mannered, and I felt that she was an uppity, racist, empty headed go-fer, who trolled the halls of parliament gossiping, and defending her sister no matter what the argument was.
So I told her, "I heard y'all don't like Black people, and that's why every Black person who works with the Democratic Party has a more difficult time.
Olga became very offended, and defensive, which was great, because she confronting me to put me on the defensive,
but that almost never works.
I am an unapologetic, grunge, unkempt, always distracted writer/blogger, and in my opinion kissing Olga's high yella ass, because of who her sister might be, is not an option.
Life's too short to kow-tow to people, who have done nothing to gain your respect, but expect you look up to them because of who they might know, or be related to, or because their sibling threw them a bone, and gave them a job.
I have had family offer to hook me up with jobs too Olga, you're not special.
Nepotism is an innate St Maarten trait.
I however decided to go out, seek my own destiny, and get my ass kicked by life in the process.
I consider it to be just another one of life's learning experiences.
As Yoda would say: "A politician sister, does not you a qualified person for this job make"!
What ever your job is, because from where I stand, your only job requirement is to walk around parliament saying that you are Sarah Wescotts sister.
In that case can you have your sister put me on the payroll, so that I can wander the halls of some run down bureaucracy, and tell them that I am Sarah's cousin, twice removed, but too dark for public consumption?
If you can put your under-educated daughter to work for "education"? Damn, I would be OVER QUALIFIED.

I regress...
Olga got so offended that she spouted off for a good twenty minutes, and made me come into her office, so that she could show me a picture of every slightly tanned member of her family.
I get it Olga, you love Black people, and you are of mixed heritage, but my question was a political question, based on statements made by your party's members, so going ballistic on the messenger will not help..............
Ooh how certain members of the St Maarten Democratic Party were laughing in Parliament, the days after the Candidate slates were made official.
What was the joke that was sooooooo funny?
The National Alliance, it seems did not put ONE light, bright or white candidate on their slate!
According to one Democratic Party official,
The NA did not stand a chance in hell!
