But his mistake was that he published a question as fact.
6)How do you call yourself a revolutionary, when you're working for who you are supposed to be fighting against?
7) You call yourself a semi-socialist, but in 40 years the DP party (YOUR party) has not allowed even the crumbs to trickle down to the common people.
8) The DP Party wouldn't piss on the common man to put him out if he was on FIRE!
9) You cannot seriously consider change Alston, when you enable and are quite complicit in assisting the "Old" system.
10) It's very difficult to take you comments seriously online, because you NEVER acknowledge that the DP has ever done anything wrong!
11) After the DP lost, your first comment about buying votes, was very much a "sour grapes" comments, since the DP has been buying votes since before YOU were born.
12) You are quite young, and unlike Stuart Johnson, you have not quite been sullied by the radioactive fallout of the DP. So
as a young intelligent St Maartener, set yourself apart, and leave the old system behind.
13 A revolution is a full 360 degrees,isn't?
Which would put you exactly back in the very same spot that you started from, which would be the DP.
14) If you truly want and believe in change, then you would distance yourself, and quit defending a party that have never, nor would they ever defend you.

ST MAARTEN DEMOCRATIC PARTY.......FRACTURED!

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/st-maarten-democratic-partyfractured.html

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/st-maarten-democratic-partyfractured.html#comments

Uncategorized

Okay, I've been sitting on this story for the past two weeks, but I guess, I'm going to analyze the new political climate for a bit.Jeffrey Richardson, was supposed to have handed in his resignation to DP leader, Sarah Wescot Williams several Sundays ago.So, I waited for the press release, or some kind of statement from Jeffrey, but I was told that the DP did not want the news to become public, so I decided to sit, and wait.Th [...]

Okay, I've been sitting on this story for the past two weeks, but I guess, I'm going to analyze the new political climate for a bit.
Jeffrey Richardson, was supposed to have handed in his resignation to DP leader, Sarah Wescot Williams several Sundays ago.
So, I waited for the press release, or some kind of statement from Jeffrey, but I was told that the DP did not want the news to become public, so I decided to sit, and wait.
Then,
I carefully read the article on the front page of the "Today", You know,The one where Ferrier put his resignation at the "disposal" of the DP.
My unique translation, was that Michael Ferrier finally said, "Either HE goes, or I go."
He of course would be Julian Rollocks, but we all know how great their relationship is, so that theory could not possibly be true!
Then Mr Rollocks made two brief appearances in the Today paper.
In my assessment, the first piece, was simply an article placed in the paper, by Mr. Rollocks, to say "Hey!"
"I'm still here"
"I'm still relevant"!
The second article featuring Mr. Rollocks, was far more interesting, and thus had to be read, and re-read.
The article on page 7 of the "Today" paper, first starts out with nothing but a long list of St Maarten Democratic Party misdeeds.I even learned for the first time of certain questionable moves by Maria, "The Sky is The Limit Foundation", etc. etc.
I was given a concise recap of ALL of the misdeeds of Laveist and Maria and Theo, etc. etc. etc.
We'll follow up on "The Sky is The Limit Foundation", at a later date. The article, gives the impression that Mr Rollocks is in St Maarten, handling his business, but he's not. He's been everywhere, but in St Maarten, for the past several weeks.
The Article seemed to appear for two reasons.
To give the appearance that Mr. Rollocks is very much in St Maarten, and in control(you know like how Osama Bin Laden sends out those videos, from random areas around the world, to give the impression that he's still alive, and a threat).
He also wanted to serve Michael Ferrier with a backhanded compliment, or basically a diss.
The most vital and telling piece to this whole article, is the final paragraphs.
The "old branches" perspective.
When Mr Rollocks returns to the island, is he going to let us know who these old branches are?
He then goes on to lay the blame at everyone else's feet, but his own, because St Maarteners are too stupid to realize who the main DP antagonist is/was.
BUT...BY FAR THE MOST TELLING STATEMENT WOULD BE THE LAST PARAGRAPH:..."We do not wish the Democratic Party any harm; because we think that a well-functioning democracy..."
If you read the article carefully, Mr Rollocks, who is supposed to be an integral part of the DP, their chief adviser, is not referring to the party as US,
Who are "WE" Mr Rollocks?
That statement clearly shows that there is no "US" in the DP any longer, if there ever was.
And if you are calling yourself "WE", the the Democratic Party, must now be considered THEM.
So that could be considered confirmation, that the DP is now a party of two separate factions.
Still I needed more evidence. So I did some online research, and...voila!Jeffrey Richardson IS a part of the new revolutionary party on FACEBOOK, which was set up by Alston Alvarino Lourens.
It's fascinating what you can learn, when you spend 18 hour days online.
TAKEN FROM JEFFREY RICHARDSON'S FACEBOOK PAGE(thanks for the invite Jeffrey):
SXM Needs a new Political Revolution!

Wall

Info

Discussions

Photos

Description:This is a group to begin the organization of a new Political Party on St. Maarten... This is the beginning of a revolution, be a part of it...Privacy Type:Open: All content is public.

So my question would be:
Is this Jeffrey's new party, or is that just another coincidence?
Is the DP separated into "Team Rollocks", and "Team Ferrier"?
Is Stuey going to jump ship soon? (Honestly, he told me that he's sticking with DP, but I simply don't believe him)
Is Theo Heyliger going to be a part of this "revolution", or is he really teaming up with Gracita to form ANOTHER party?
Yeah the Theo/Gracita rumor has been afloat for awhile now.
What can I say, they do make a cute couple.
And they cover most demographics. Gracita appealing to the Black and female demographic,
Theo covering the White/Asian and male demographic. I say White and Asian, because Theo can pass for both.
Don't ask me how that happened.
I do know that it would be interesting seeing some strong, new contenders
for the next elections.
When Mr Rollocks is considering trimming old branches, he must have considered the fact that Sarah Wescot Williams is the oldest branch on the tree.
That's not an ageist diss, it's a fact. And if you're considering all political experience,
Then Mr Rollocks, himself would have to be trimmed, considering the fact that
he's been in those same gutters, since Theo Heyliger was in Pampers.
I've been trying to stay out of politics, and work on my archives,
but sometimes I feel compelled......
j.r.

WHERE IS JACINTO MOCK JR? or WHO WILL THE NEXT PRIME MINISTER OF ST MAARTEN BE?

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/where-is-jacinto-mock-jr-or-who-will-the-next-prime-minister-of-st-maarten-be.html

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/where-is-jacinto-mock-jr-or-who-will-the-next-prime-minister-of-st-maarten-be.html#comments

Uncategorized

on December 22nd 2009, Jacinto mocked posted this comment to the Facebook "Christine Hughes" profile notes:Jacinto Mock Jr Ferrier won't fire Rollocks because he needs a comedian to keep an eye on the Parliament building on Backstreet. If I go out to vote, I will not vote for D.P. politicians.
While enriching themselves, they created an overweight island, where our students do not want to come back to.
Education, infrastructure, immigration, health care, GEBE, it is all a mess.
I hear Mike Ferrier shouting: "But Gerard, I cleaned up my party". Sorry Mike, Louis was framed by his "friends", Theo ran away, and the only thing you did was doing away with Marietje, who may have been a little bit naughty, but who compared to other D.P. ers was a pretty decent girl. What to think of the D.P. commissioners who pressed R.O.B. civil servants to sign illegal building permits in a hurry?
The civil servants got the blame, while in fact government had the responsibility. The rumors about R.O.B. all proved to be true.
There are as many rumors about bribery concerning the building and financing of the new government building (the white elephant). Why were those rumors not investigated by the SOAB? Why did the D.P. government never give the financial administration of this building to the newspaper "Today"? If the D.P. has nothing to hide, what is it afraid of? O.K., Mike "cleaned" his party, but he only used one bottle of Windex. He should have used a gallon of Clorox!
The next meeting of the DP, after the election, will probably be at the Emerald Funeral Home, with Mike, not as cleaner, but as caretaker.
My not voting for the DP has nothing to do with Miguel Arrindell's remark that there are two homosexuals on the D.P. list. If Mike and his whole DP were homosexuals, I would vote for them if they were doing a good job.
If there is a homosexual who can solve the problems of GEBE, let him come forward. Better gay current, than heterosexual blackouts.

I talked with politicians of our political parties, telling them that the root of all that goes wrong in St Maarten is overdevelopement, and that I would vote for the party that would call for a building stop. I do not see that in any party program, so I should vote.
But............
If, at the last moment, I still decide to vote, it will probably be for Gracita.
I think she has a great, fresh team. Many good women in it. Women are the backbone of St Maarten. They work hard, they do better in school than men in the absence of Caribbean fathers, they do a great job as educators.
My advice for St Maarten voters: vote PPA or NA.
Together they can make a better future for St Maarten.

GERARD BIJNSDORP,
UNPAID ADVISOR TO THE ST MAARTEN VOTER.

AMBER'S RESPONSE TO "ENLIGHTENED" ON THE HUFFINGTON POST JAMES CAMERON STORY

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/ambers-response-to-enlightened-on-the-huffington-post-james-cameron-story.html

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/ambers-response-to-enlightened-on-the-huffington-post-james-cameron-story.html#comments

Uncategorized

Enlightened45: egomaniacal narcissists have a supremely hypnotic effect on people who have little to no self esteem. The site is not just about current and historical figures who have done great things, but also those who have done not so great things.
It's monumental work, in most part because there is actually comparatively very little online about St Maarten and its true history and culture.
Click on St Maarten/ St Martin anywhere on the web, and you will get a resort hotel promoting itself, or some horrific crime.
Anyone, anywhere in the world should be able to Google St Maarten Indigenous, St Maarten Culture, Soualiga, etc. and get the FULL story.
We have already started the associated social sites on Facebook, so look forward to your invite, to join us, and if you can provide us with facts and info about St Maarten.
We are very interested in speaking with older St Maarteners, the ones that used coal in their irons on Sundays to iron their clothes, and cooked outdoors
using a coalkeel.
We are also diligently adding to our newly created "St Maarten" social networking sites such as Mefeedia, Fark and Twitter.

ARE THE ST MAARTEN DREAM READERS DYING?

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/are-the-st-maarten-dream-readers-dying.html

http://www.stmaartennews.com/6/post/2010/02/are-the-st-maarten-dream-readers-dying.html#comments

Uncategorized

If you live in St Maarten, or have visited the island for any extended period of time, at some point you have either had to sit and listen to the details of someones dreams, or chances are you felt compelled to describe your own dreams to someone else in detail. From my earliest childhood, dreams were always it appears as important, if not more important than the physical itself, because it was predictive, an omen, it foretold what was to [...]

If you live in St Maarten, or have visited the island for any extended period of time, at some point you have either had to sit and listen to the details of someones dreams, or chances are you felt compelled to describe your own dreams to someone else in detail.
From my earliest childhood, dreams were always it appears as important, if not more important than the physical itself, because it was predictive, an omen, it foretold what was to be, so when the dream was actually fulfilled, it was simply considered a consummation of the dream.
Times are changing, and it seems that all of the old time St Maarten Dream Readers are dying out, as we are consumed by new age technology, and rise further above the rich soil of St Maarten.
I was always raised to believe that there were two distinct stages of dreaming.
The late night dream, which was considered a rehashing of the day's, or past events. You fell asleep, and whatever was preoccupying your mind at that was resolved in your dream, in a subconscious state.
The early morning (madrugada) dream, usually between 4am-6am, were considered the predictive dream.
It is supposed to foretell of events to come.
Now if you spoke to an older St Maartener, chances are they will confirm the above written statements, however if you spoke to one of the younger generation, they might laugh or scoff at the statement.
St Maarten is Americanized, and Europeanized, but like most countries built on the backs of imported African slaves, they still hold strongly to their African ancestry, culture and rituals.
In Afro-Latin countries, it's usually called "Santeria".
I've had the pleasure of meeting Mr Patrick, a local historian who works at the Kadasters office.
He wanted me to know that I was a direct descendant of the slave "Lukie", the Harriet Tubman of St Maarten, who rescued babies before they could be sold into slavery.
I never knew this, and I've read ALOT of books.
Of course, now I'm eager to learn more about my slave ancestry, because this is the first time in my life that I'm learning about this.
Someone said that she even has her own statue at the medical center. That her breast was hacked off, to teach her a lesson, and ultimately kill her, but in the age before antibiotics, and modern medicines, she survived her breast being chopped off, and continued undaunted on her rescue missions.
There are no coincidences, within a week of meeting Mr Patrick, who is publishing a historical book about St Maarten, I ran into Mr T Roumou-Priest, for the first time.
I didn't know him, but obviously we are related, I knew his dad, T. Priest, we also had some conversations that have to be continued.
There is so much about St Maarten that I am just now learning, because they never taught us ANYTHING, but a few basic facts about St Maarten in history class.
We learned about the Spanish Armada, the Romans, The Boston Tea Party, Napolean Bonaparte etc, etc, etc.
But we have NEVER been formally instructed about our ancestors and where we come from.
I learned for the first time that the signed the Concordia treaty in My yard, the yard I grew up in at Marigot Hill.
I learned about the government building being burnt in 1975 by protesters.
Can I ask why St Maarteners are being hidden from their true history?
I believe that with a Dutch Education System implemented, that it was intentionally left off of our syllabus and educational curriculum, because I guess that they didn't want us getting any ideas about rebellion.
I do remember reading about slave rebellions in Curacao, and The Jamaican Maroons, The Caribs, The Arrowaks, learning that we used to be called Soualiga.
Every bit of St Maarten's history and culture is dying out, being washed away.
Do they at least offer courses at the university about The Indigenous St Maartener?
If anyone knows of any courses being given on Indigenous St Maarten Culture and History, please let me know.
I am in the process of uploading historical documents, archives and deeds to the internet, in an effort to have ALL of St Maartens information digital, so that anyone on earth can type in the words St Maarten History, and pull up ALL of our history, not just a few appropiate and carefully selected quotes.
My next blog will be titled:
A PATTERN OF SYSTEMATIC SUBMISSION.
