THE BTA – AGAIN !!

Several letters have been written complaining about the conditions surrounding the BTA, most of them by people who didn’t sign their name, so we don’t know who is complaining.

Each time I see one of those letters I want to know exactly what those people think they are due. Nobody has yet answered me as to what I would get if I had gone into their countries illegally, because they know what I would get. Why is it that St. Maarten should give more that her “Caribbean brother and sister islands” give? Again a question that nobody will answer.

This island has too many people on it right now. Governments keep looking to build roads, why? Just building roads is not going to help the situation. As long as accommodations are built, nothing will change, in a few weeks or months they will be overwhelmed again.

What is going to happen to SXM in the next five years if nothing changes?? It is said that if someone keeps doing the same thing over and over and nothing changes, then to keep on doing that is MADNESS. Is the government mad??? Sometimes I think so.

There is no way that what is going on on SXM these days can continue without a blowout coming.

For things to change, strategies have to change, and our people have to have the balls to do that.

Diane you are sooo right. These People act as if it's their given rights. As if they have to be rewarded for being here illegally. I totally disagree with this whole BTA business. I mean where is it all going to end . How many grace periods did we have already ? I mean come on man.

As a Proud st.Maartener.

We need to realize that with this policy, what happens to us as locals,SXM is too full already, reach out to the youth encourage them to work and build their country, i did construction packed shelves at food centre. No job is too stupid.

Allow US local to work instead of adding more illegals to the census. its ridiculous.

Lastly we have to inform our youths about working hard for what they need/want. There is no other way.

Here on SXM we have educated people to fill any spots that the foreigners are filling.

There are so many issues to tackle...You will hear from me again..

Thanks again.
